※本データ集は,SCOP (Structural Classification of Proteins)のClass: Membrane and cell surface proteins and peptidesに収録されているデータの中から,SOSUI WWW Server(PSBとSOSUIを利用した演習参照)で膜貫通領域をもつと推定されるデータを抽出して掲載し,その膜貫通部分(主としてα-helix構造)を選択して表示の変更ができるようにしたものです。h1〜で各領域を,h_allで全領域を選択して右下フレームのボタンで各種表示の指定をすることが可能です。一部のデータでt1〜およびt_allとあるのはTMHMMで求めた予測貫通部分です。
なお,膜貫通タンパク質には,細胞膜に存在する受容体やイオンチャネルなど,膜貫通部分がα-helix構造を持つもののほかに,β-sheetで形成されるβバレル構造を有するタンパク質(PDB部分データリストの1qd5,1t16_Aなど)等もありますが,SOSUIではβ-sheet領域を検出できないので,ここでは省略します。詳細は成書(例えば,「細胞の分子生物学 第4版」,pp.593-614)やWeb情報(例えば,Membrane Proteins of Known Structureなど)を参照してください。
